When I run the LiveUpdate for Symantic Endpoint Protection for Mac, I get the error window 'Microdefs Error: Liveupdate had an error updating the virus definitions.' This message appears after the progress window shows all 240MB of both virus definition files being downloaded. The Summary window then shows success for 3 updates, but failure for 'Symantec Endpoint Protection for Mac Virus Defs v12.1' I tried restarting the computer. This has been happening for 2 days. I've been using the software on this computer since 2013. Any suggestions?
Symantec Antivirus v5.1.4(1) MacBook Air, Mid 2012 MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6. Your post is a bit challenging to understand in that in one statement you say this is your product, meaning you would have SEP installed: If you have a Symantec Endpoint for MAC product installed you will need versions 10.5 - 10.6.8 to be compatible with your OS. When I run the LiveUpdate for Symantic Endpoint Protection for Mac Symantec Antivirus v5.1.4(1) In another statement you said the above, leading us to believe you have an older not supported version of Norton Antivirus for MAC.
