Designed specifically to replace the vehicle's OE stabilizer, for easy installation. (zinc-plated steel body, Triple-C-Technology coating) Specifications. This was a direct replacement for the factory steering damper on my 05 Silverado 4x4 3500 DRW. When I removed the factory damper, it was very difficult to push the piston back into the damper and the rebound was extremely slow (and needed help at a few points).

The new damper was much more consistent in feel both in the extending and retracting of the piston rod. The install was as easy as two connection points. After being installed and front alignment complete, the steering feels better with less 'kick-back' at the steering wheel. Road feel is about the same as before. No complaints.
